Marilyn Zapata, author of The Seven Wonders of a Senior’s World, will be the speaker at the
Local Authors Hour on Thursday, January 9, 2014, at 10:15am. This book is a
collection of humorous short stories about her “senior moments.”
Marilyn says, “I deemed it necessary to include stories of
my family, where adventures into forgetful land run rife in the female gene
pool.” She also drew on 30 years of nursing home volunteer work for some of the story topics.
She lives in Pearland, and has also written four volumes about her worldly travels, with
husband, Art, which are available on Amazon.com in print and e-book formats: Around
the World in Forty Years, Volumes I, II, III and IV.
