Using Props For Your Book Presentations

Rene Armstrong, author of Wings and a Ring, understands the importance of using props to make her book presentations more interesting.

For her World War II era book, which is a story adapted from actual letters written by an Air Force pilot to his fiancé, Rene has collected a variety of objects from the 1940s to use during her talks.

These props include a wide range of WWII military paraphernalia, as shown in the photo above of her display table, but also the costume she wears, as well, shown at left, with Mr Scott, a WWII veteran.

For your next book presentation, consider gathering items that relate to the theme of your book, whether it is a location, occupation, time period, or genre to decorate your book display table. It will not only draw attention to your book, but might also generate more questions/interaction from your audience.
